Difference: Face Wash v/s Face Cleansers

Many people have this misconception that Face Wash and Face cleansers are the same. A Face cleanser is nothing but a face wash but with a fancy name, which is FALSE. They are quite different from each other and required for different reasons. While both the products have synthetic detergents called surfactants/ active agents that have the basic purpose of washing away dirt.

The basic function of a face wash is to clean the pores and remove dirt stuck in the deep layers of skin and clean. While a cleanser is useful in getting rid of the excess oil or makeup from the skin’s surface. They both are different in their textures after the application, as a face wash is foamier in comparison to cleansers that are not foamy.

Face washes are considered ideal for people with oily and combination skin whereas a cleanser is well suited for people with dry and sensitive skin. You can test the type of your skin and use the one that is more compatible with your skin tone. However, you should avoid using products that have sulphates and Parabens in them as they can cause some serious damage to your skin.

Enjoy using these homemade face cleansers and have an amazing skin that you always wanted.
